Join our Commercial team as an Account Director - DACH!

The opportunity:

As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced Account Director to join our team and drive our growth in the DACH region. We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Account Director to oversee our existing portfolio of clients in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and spearhead our market expansion efforts. This role is pivotal in strengthening our market presence and driving revenue growth. The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and will play a crucial role in our international strategy. This position will be based at our headquarters in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The role in a nutshell:

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and nurture relationships with an existing portfolio of clients in the DACH region.
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow our market share in the German-speaking market.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, promoting and selling our advanced marketing measurement solutions to marketers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure client satisfaction and success.
  • Analyse market trends and client feedback to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Guide clients in making informed decisions based on insights from Objective Platform dashboards.
  • Manage complex stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment and driving value across all interactions.

Requirements:

  • Native or fluent in German, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and close to native proficiency in English.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in account management and business development within the Marketing Technology industry.
  • Demonstrated success in selling complex solutions to marketers and C-level executives, with strong value selling skills.
  • Enterprise sales experience, with a proven track record of managing large accounts and long sales cycles.
  • Ability to build business cases and guide clients in decision-making based on data-driven insights.
  • Strong understanding of the DACH market dynamics and cultural nuances.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven.
  • Strong skills in managing complex stakeholders and ensuring value alignment.
  • Willingness to travel within the DACH region as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • University degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, innovative technology company.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing and advertising technologies.
